Please join the Coalition for Government Procurement at our Spring Training Conference on May 11th titled The First 112 Days: The FAR, E-Commerce, and New Acquisition Priorities. Jack St. John will be our Keynote Speaker, who was recently appointed by President Trump to serve as Chief of Staff of the General Services Administration. Mr. St. John had previously served as Senior Policy Advisor to the GSA since January 20. Prior to joining the GSA, he was a partner at St. John & St. John, LLC in Alabama. Additionally, he is a graduate of the University of Virginia, the University of Alabama School of Law, and the University of Alabama Manderson Graduate School of Business.
After the morning keynote, we will be holding a series of panel discussions focused on:
- FY 2017 Budget Realities and FY 2018 Opportunities
- Upcoming Acquisition Reform: A View from the Hill
- Acquisition Streamlining and the Future of E-Commerce
- Déjà vu All Over Again: The Rogers in a Year of Transition
Our lunchtime speaker will be Deidre Lee, Chair of the Section 809 Acquisition Advisory Panel and former Office of Federal Procurement Policy Administrator and former Director of Defense Procurement and Acquisition Policy. The Section 809 panel was established by Congress to review applicable acquisition regulations for the Department of Defense to identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the defense procurement process. We will be soliciting virtual feedback from members all morning in this regard and look forward to your active participation and ideas!
